about

picturomatic is specially founded for my panoramic photos taken anywhere I go.

Images are taken in sections  and stitched together in Photoshop CS5 using photo stack feature. The camera is perhaps the weakest link in photography (here). Unlike other photographers came ready with big and bulky professional cameras, being a tight budget person, I use a humble, more portable device, an iPhone 4.

In addition, picturomatic also uses (actually mainly) Microsoft ICE (Image Composite Editor) to stitch the stacks of photos. Works great and it is used together with Photoshop CS5 (Or ICE only).

Quote: It does not matter if you have a bad camera, you only need great skills to pull off a great picture.

about flow steps

| snap photos of interest  >  stack  >  color + image blending  > image correction  >  enhancements  >  export (Takes longer but better quality)

or

| snap photos of interest  >  ICE panorama > crop > export (Faster but lack of enhancement)

-export of all panorama is reduced to 3000 pixels for image length for web use or otherwise stated (JPEG only)

Editing of panorama such as removing elements will only be done if the element is cut-off during the stitching process. So what you see is see is the 99.999% straight off from the photo stitching without the annoyance of see half-body people and stuff like that. The other 0.001% is the removal of the half-body and partial objects.

That is the steps for the panorama, now on the photos.

| snap photos of interest  >  image correction  >  effects(optional)  >  enhancements  >  export

-export of all images is reduced to approx 900 pixels for image width for web use or otherwise stated

about articina+project8 (part of camaria)

articina+ project8 is actually “a” one man “team” doing specific stuff depending on what “team” I am with. articina team is under photo editing while project8 is under the so-called “manual work”. Nothing special, really. Just me. Oh yeah, it host HBL project too. (Being me as the lead).

about picturomatic history

Old home: http://singapore-way.blogspot.com/.

Created on 20/12/2010 for wordpress (Current) and 10/12/2010 for blogger (Beta/Concept).

Created in late 2010, founded and open publicly in early 2011 by articina, it host the first project called HBL created for a school project which focus on panorama photography. HBL is a one guy and two girl team which is created solely for our project and no longer continued further and of course, the website is up and running so now [articina+project8] (the one man team) is managing the website from then on till today. Previously, photos is hosted in http://benjamineong.blogspot.com and to reduce clutter over there, all photo will be host here.

http://singapore-way.blogspot.com/ is HBL old home, previously for a photo guide for tourist and foreigners in Singapore. The idea was proposed in the late October and scrapped just days before Christmas in 2010. The entire project will instead focus on panoramic photographs and in relation to my/our former project, photos taken highlights iconic places in Singapore. After HBL project is dissolved, the website expanded to include figurines, scenery, places and etc.

about anikino (Yeah, that guy)

He love (Well pretty much everything actually) photography. Capturing the scene and enjoy it again may not feel that great but at least I have been there before. Pictures tells a thousand words, picturomatic tells no tales. Just sit back and enjoy. His hobbies is to cycle, snap photos (scenery/places with low human traffic), browse the web for happenings and sleep. And no, I am not a nerd. Thanks. =)

anikino has a personal blog and two project blogs (one here and one there, articina.blogspot.com). He also love designing imaginative operating system interfaces and interface concept and creating vector art, from common objects to anime. (rarely, but rare…). He is also into games though no progress from him.

If he is really bored, he will play with Microsoft Excel and see what mathematical tool he creates depending on the environment he is in. Like playing Pangya, make a golf calculator. Bored with quality control lessons involving tons of samples, make a sample analyzer to analyze samples and to determine the sample properties. Or make a grade calculator; you will never know the truth of your results.   He is the science (Biology+Chemistry) guy listening to science lectures every weekdays. Well that’s him.
